Course Description

In this course, participants will learn:

  • The general purposes and system of construction lien notices used in Wisconsin, including conveying lien notices tactically to assist in payment collection
  • Procedures for properly perfecting and enforcing construction lien rights related to each required notice
  • Participants will be provided with tips on how to properly prepare lien notices, waivers, and satisfactions
  • Participants will learn about the court process for lien foreclosure of private lien claims

Bryan Kroes

Bryan T. Kroes is an Attorney with Hurtado Zimmerman SC, practicing in the areas of construction and real estate litigation, commercial and residential real property development, construction contract preparation and negotiation, and related intellectual property law.  Attorney Kroes hold a B.A. in Psychology and Criminal Justice from UW-Milwaukee and a J.D. from Marquette University Law School.  Before pursuing a career in law, he also worked as a remodeling contractor and operated a remodeling company in Southeastern Wisconsin.
